‘B’ team lose final game in title winning season

After a great run of winning 13 consecutive games the ‘B’ team lost their final game 30-27 away to Sandy Cons ‘B’. It was a very close game with Great Barford ahead for all of the game until the last ends on both of the rinks.

It has been the great team effort from all of the players this year that has enabled the ‘B’ team to be promoted as Champions of Division 4.

Well done all

B Team Still 100% Champions!

13 wasn’t unlucky for ‘B’ team as they remain undefeated. Another excellent win for the ‘B’ team in a close fought game against Stotfold ‘C’ 32-25.

The rink of Stuart, Steve and Joe had a close first half (9-9 after 10 ends) but then pulled away to win comfortably 20-13. Some fine shots from Stuart.

The other rink of Bob, Des and Alex had a very exciting, low scoring game drawing 12-12. Trailing 12-8 after 15 ends they played very well to pull back 4 shots to get a draw, almost sneaking it on the last end.

Well done to everyone

A Team in Close Finish

The A Team missed an opportunity to consolidate their position at the top of Division 3 when they conceded 3 on the final end of their match against local rivals Potton to lose by just one shot.

Unusually Malcolm, Bill and Paul were always behind on their rink, and when Ray, Robin and Keith finished 8 shots ahead having lead at one stage by 18, needed to concede no more than one to seal a victory for the team.

But to the obvious elation of at least one Potton player, it was not to be, and with two title rivals winning the A Team slipped to third.
